Photographer

Hi, I’m Kristen and it’s so nice to meet you! I am a wedding, elopement, and portrait photographer based in Columbus, Ohio, but I love to travel so I’m ready to hop on a plane to wherever you are! I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and have been shooting professionally for over 10 years. I love to shoot anywhere, but I thrive among the trees as I love hiking and being outdoors in general. In fact, my husband and I eloped in Scotland and spent our entire wedding day hiking in the highlands, so if you have this energy, we’re going to get along!

I have spent years cultivating my style: somewhere between fine art and documentary. Love like the movies… I live for finding the moments that happen in the blink of an eye, noticing the things that most people miss and likewise creating moments intentionally from the love and chemistry that we all naturally exude when we are with our favorite people. It is truly one of the things that brings me the most joy.

Aside from my craft, I also love video games, hiking my favorite trails, cooking, gardening, binging whatever tv show I happen to be obsessed with at the moment, and spending as much time as I can with my closest family and friends!

When I tell other love stories, I know how precious they are first hand.

My days with my husband are filled with laughter, love, and so much more joy than I can ever put into words. We are also the happiest parents to our dogs, Newt and Aro!

The love they give me spills over into everything I do, and I could not be more grateful.

    Gone are the days where getting your photo taken is akin to your annual dentist appointment: something that you don’t like but just kind of have to do. Your experience with me will be anything but! I center my prompts around you and your partner both together and as individuals with the goal of bringing out how you naturally are together. More than anything, I want you to look at your photos and see yourself. Your true self.

  • We're Going to Laugh. A LOT.

    A typical session with me ends with someone saying something along the lines of “I can’t believe how much fun that was!” To quote Chandler Bing, “We are fond of the silliness, but we also have a soft spot for the love…” I truly believe the two can go hand in hand, and while I still love prompting my couples into tender and passionate moments, I am an equally huge proponent of you two trying to give each other piggy back rides, tickle fights, and whispering dirty jokes in each other’s ears! By the end of our session, you won’t feel like you just got your photos taken; you’ll feel like you just spent time with a friend!

  • I Am as Professional as I Am Fun!

    While it’s true we will laugh and play during our time together, I am also incredibly professional. I am extremely communicative, detail oriented, and punctual. Yes, these are all super boring things, but they are crucial when being trusted with important milestones such as wedding/elopement days! I am always where I need to be early with a detailed timeline in hand, and I don’t leave anything up to chance. I’ll still take a shot with you if you ask though. ; )

  • I Put My Heart + Soul Into My Work

    Above all else, this is what I love doing. It’s impossible to imagine my life doing anything else. I get to work with so many amazing people, and no two stories ever look the same. To be able to say that my job is to witness people on the happiest days of their lives is beyond comprehension, and something I will never take for granted. As such, I am always learning and growing, always ready to try something new, and overjoyed at the opportunity to do so! To work with me is to work with someone who cares for your moments as if they were my own. I treasure them with you.
